The elegant monastery is located at a distance of about 8km from the south of Darjeeling town. Ghoom Monastery is also known as Yigacheoling Gompa and is one of the major tourist attractions in Darjeeling. This beautiful monastery is popular for its 15feet high special statue of the Maitreya Buddha.
Located at the top hill and at a distance of about 5km away from the heart of Darjeeling town, Batasia Loop is one of the most picturesque train routes in Darjeeling. It is a gigantic loop where toy train makes a 360 degree turn and from where you can get the panoramic view of the beautiful town along with Mt. Kanchenjunga. In addition, the loop is encircled with a wonderful garden which makes visitors spend some quality time.
