Detailed Daywise Itinerary

Day 1

Gangtok Arrival - Leisure

On arrival at Bagdogra Airport/New Jalpaiguri Railway Station, our representative will greet you and drive to Gangtok. Enjoy the scenic route and on arrival in Gsngtok, check in at your hotel. The rest of the day is allotted for leisure, when you can explore the local markets and indulge in their local delicacies like momos and thukpa. You may also opt to visit some places of interest such as MG Road, Rumtek Monastery, Ban Jhakri Falls and the Flower Exhibition Centre (leisure activities are not included in the package). Then return to the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 2

The Best of Gangtok

Wake up to a pleasant morning, have a refreshing breakfast and then embark upon a sightseeing tour of Gangtok covering the Tsomgo Lake and Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir. Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir is a sacred site built in memory of the brave Indian soldier, Harbhajan Singh. It is considered as a revered site and the region is believed to be protected by Baba Harbhajan Singh even today. Also visit the beautiful Tsomgo Lake, a sacred site situated at an elevation of about 12,400 feet and formed by the melting snows of its surrounding mountains. It offers a splendid sight and makes a serene getaway in the lap of nature. Then get back to the hotel, enjoy a scrumptious dinner and retreat for the night. Optional: Have your vacation customised and get a Nathula Pass tour to the Republic of China incorporated in it (Nathula cost extra). Note: Nathula visit is subject to availability. It remains closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Day 3

Gangtok - Pelling

On this day, you will be travelling from Gangtok to the hill town of Pelling. Upon reaching, check in at the hotel and get ready for a sightseeing tour of Pelling. You will get to visit the charming Darap Village, Irish Rimbi Waterfalls, Khecheopalri Lake and Khangchendzonga Waterfalls which is ideal for thrilling water sports. Darap Village is an idyllic location that abounds in greenery and fills you with utmost peace. The beautiful landscape is home to various small communities and also offers interesting things to see and do. Visit Khecheopalri Lake, a beautiful site considered sacred by the Hindus and Buddhists. Also enjoy a visit to the majestic Khangchendzonga Waterfalls (a thrilling sight located at about 25 km from Pelling) and the Irish Rimbi Waterfalls (which is popular for activities like swimming and fishing). After a fun-filled tour, return to the hotel and get a good night's rest. Distance from Gangtok to Pelling: 117 km. Travel time - approx. 5 hours.

Day 4

Pelling - Darjeeling

Start your day with a nutritious breakfast and then take transfer to Darjeeling. Enjoy a wonderful city tour and visit some of the attractions like the Tinchuley Village, Everest Museum, Tea Garden and Dali Monastery (on your own) and then spend the rest of the day street shopping and savouring delicious Tibetan dishes (on your own). Settle back at the hotel towards the end of the day and rest the night away.

Day 5

Darjeeling Tour

Wake up early on this day and gear up for one of the most exciting experiences of your life. Get to the Tiger Hill and witness a mesmerizing sunrise over the mountains, a sight that will be imprinted in your heart forever. Behold the changing hues on Mt. Kanchenjunga as the sun slowly makes its way up from behind the snowy Himalayan Peaks. Then en-route to the hotel, make a visit to Ghoom Monastery (one of the most sacred and famous sites that houses a huge 15-feet statue of the Buddha), Batasia Loop (the spiral railway) and the famous War Memorial (dedicated to the Gorkha soldiers). Have a delicious breakfast at the hotel, relax for a while and then go on to explore the city. Visit the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (closed on Thursdays), Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park that spreads across 68 acres and one of India's largest high-altitude zoos standing at 7,000 feet (closed on Thursdays), the Tibetan Refugee Centre (closed on Sundays) and Mall Road for some wonderful shopping experience. Then relish a hearty dinner at the hotel and stay overnight back at the hotel.

Day 6

Bid Adieu

After breakfast at the hotel, check out and take transfer to Bagdogra Airport or NJP railway station for your return journey.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

Policy Regarding Cancellation / No Show / Early Departure

In case of cancellation of tour/travel services due to any avoidable/unavoidable reason/s we must be informed in writing. Cancellation charges would be effective from the date we receive letter in writing and cancellation charges would be as follows:

30 days & prior to arrival – 10% of the tour/service cost.
20 days to 18 days prior to arrival – 20% of the tour/service cost.
14 days to 16 days prior to arrival – 25% of the tour/service cost.
10 days to 08 days prior to arrival – 50% of the tour/service cost.
07 days & less, prior to arrival or no show – NO REFUND.

Please note – Irrespective of above mentioned cancellations slabs – in case of cancellation of tour services after the booking is made with us – a minimum 10% service charges would be applicable.

In case you cancel the trip after commencement refund would be restricted to a limited amount that too would depend on the amount that we would be able to recover from the hoteliers we patronize. For unused hotel accommodation, chartered transportation and missed meals etc. we do not bear any responsibility to refund. Refund

In regard to refund of unused / unutilized services (which are paid for and cancelled in advance) the refund amount would be worked out on the basis of cancellation policy as described above and the money would be accordingly refunded to the person who has made the payment to us. Please note that the refund process may take 2 – 4 weeks due to banking procedures. If the refund is made to the credit card account OR to Bank account, the bank charges would be debited from the refund amount.
